Attack by Jamaat-BNP-police on a Hindu procession protesting the arrest of Chinmoy Krishna Das; nearly 400 injured, 7 Hindus killed

ISKCON Pundarik Dham, Chattogram, Bangladesh's president, Chinmoy Krishna Das, was arrested from Dhaka Airport by some personnel of the illegal government's police detective branch, and he was detained in a starving condition. Later, Hindus from various places protested, demanding the unconditional release of Chinmoy Krishna Das. In that protest, BNP-Jamaat supporters and police jointly carried out attacks. In this, more than 400 Hindus were injured, and 7 were killed. The next day, a so-called court’s Islamist judge rejected the request for bail for Chinmoy Krishna Das and ordered him to be imprisoned indefinitely. When Hindus united and surrounded the court premises, it was announced that Chinmoy Krishna Das had been ordered to be sent to jail under a sedition case. However, nothing was known about why a sedition case was filed against him. After this, Hindus in front of the court requested the unconditional release of Chinmoy Krishna Das from the false case and blocked the prison vehicle. In response, police fired tear gas and beat hundreds of Hindus with batons. Subsequently, Jamaat-e-Islami militants burned Hindu temples, looted Hindu homes, and threatened them with exile from the country.
